you should have by now, received the latest newsletter.
For those of you who are not yet ‘Friends’ please do consider joining us in order to receive these newsletters twice yearly. They are interesting and informative and chock full of news and write ups about the Museum.
But for now, here are just a few of the most important bits of news we can share with you.
This year, Friends have donated over £4000 to the Museum, which is a great achievement.
Some of the money going towards projects at the Museum include funds allocated to the new Museum website project which is now completed and looks fantastic.
You can also shop online too – click here to find out more.
Friends have also spent a significant sum of money on expanding Joan’s Garden outside the Museum In Boscastle Harbour.
We had a new trough custom built and filled it with soil (quite expensive in itself) in February.
We have planted lots of different herbs and other plants associated with witchcraft and magic.
Each plant has a small slate sign explaining one of its uses. Visitors have really been engaging with this and seem to find the garden charming and interesting. It has done a lot to beautify the Museum exterior but also to encourage visitors to venture inside the Museum.
Other projects are in the pipeline and ongoing and we can report back to you on this, following our AGM in December – details in a previous post here. Please join us if you can on Saturday December 2nd.
Meanwhile, if you wish to join Friends – please follow the link at the top of the home page or click here.
Your contributions and membership really do make a difference.
We hope to welcome you soon.
